Origin
Founded 2020. Still here.
Hutanin started with tree planting in 2020. It has grown into a registered foundation with active field programs in Bontang, Kolaka, and Bogor, partnership presence in Riau and Bali, and a team that is small by design. Conservation, waste management, education, and emergency response. The work is relational. The presence is long-term. The approach is not to arrive with answers.
Vision & Mission
Vision
By 2045, the communities Hutanin works with are leading the protection of their own ecosystems. Not because an NGO showed them how. Because they always knew how, and they finally had the tools, the support, and the authority to act on it.
01
Protect & Restore
Forests, peatlands, mangroves. Wherever we work, ecological health and community wellbeing are inseparable.
02
Accompany
Communities as the authority over their own landscapes. We support that. We do not replace it.
03
Respond
Ecological emergencies are also human emergencies. We respond to both and stay through what comes after.
04
Research
Science that answers to the communities it works with. Not just the institutions that funded it.
