RESEARCH

Participatory, ethically grounded research designed with communities

Why This Pillar?

Hutan.in's research is participatory and ethically grounded — designed with communities, not just about them. This includes collaborative anoa research in Kolaka, baseline assessments in the Kutai Landscape, and social-ecological research that directly informs program design.

Research findings are used to strengthen programs internally and shared publicly where possible — including with the communities who contributed to the work.
