Why This Pillar?

Ecological crises — fires, floods, habitat collapse, and wildlife displacement — have both ecological and human dimensions. The communities most affected are often those with the least resources to respond.

In East Kalimantan, this means accompanying communities who face regular human-wildlife encounters with little institutional support. In Riau, it means being present alongside communities navigating the slow loss of the forests their livelihoods depend on.
